SafeTAlert · Last updated October 12, 2026 (alerts in the app)
SafeTAlert is made by Teal River Technologies. This policy explains what information the SafeTAlert iPhone app uses and where it goes. In short: your settings stay on your phone; our service keeps only what's needed to deliver alerts between you and the people you choose, and deletes alerts after 7 days.
No accounts, no tracking
SafeTAlert has no accounts or sign-in. It contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking, and we do not sell or share your information for advertising.
Information stored on your phone
- Your emergency contacts' phone numbers and, if you choose them from Contacts, their names.
- Your alert message and settings.
- The identifier of a paired panic button.
- Your most recent location. With your permission, the app keeps a recent location on your phone so an alert can be sent instantly, without waiting for GPS.
This information stays on your phone. Deleting the app deletes it.
Information our alert service keeps
- Your iPhone's registration: a random identifier, the name you enter (shown to your contacts), and a notification token so alerts can reach this iPhone. No account, email address or Apple ID.
- Links between people: when a contact accepts your invitation to the app, we store their phone number and name with the link, so your alerts reach them as notifications and, if needed, as a text message. Invitations expire after 7 days.
- Alerts: each alert's message, your location (updated while the alert is active), and each contact's delivery status — for example, received, seen, or on the way. Alerts are deleted automatically after 7 days.
Information sent when you send an alert
When an alert is sent, the app sends the following to our alert service so that it can text your emergency contacts:
- Your emergency contacts' phone numbers (not the names you saved for them).
- Your alert message and your location, including a map link.
- Technical details: the panic button's name and identifier if one is paired, your iPhone model, iOS version, and app version.
While an alert is active and its status screen is open, the app keeps sending your updated location so your contacts' maps stay current. Test Mode sends nothing.
Who processes it
- Amazon Web Services hosts our alert service and passes notifications to Apple.
- Apple delivers notifications to your contacts' iPhones.
- Twilio delivers the text messages to your contacts. Twilio keeps records of messages it delivers under its own privacy policy.
- Your emergency contacts receive your message and location. People in the same alert can see each other's names and delivery status, but not each other's phone numbers.
How long we keep it
Alerts and their delivery status are deleted automatically after 7 days. Our service logs record technical details (not phone numbers, messages or locations) for 7 days to diagnose problems. Your iPhone's registration and links with your contacts are kept until you remove them or delete your data.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive your payment details.
Children
SafeTAlert is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
You can turn off location, notification, and Bluetooth access at any time in iPhone Settings, remove or unlink contacts in the app, and stop receiving someone's alerts. Settings > Delete My Data removes your iPhone's registration, its links with other people, and its recent alerts from our service immediately. To ask about information we hold, or for help deleting it, email admin@memvero.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
